The background in this image is a photo of an painted terracotta jug on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The jug is Greek (Attic) and dates to the late 8th century BC. The complex fractal coil in the foreground was created using Incendia software downloaded from the the internet. For reasons that I can't fathom, when I saw the ancient Greek jug I was reminded of the intricate coiled fractal that I had produced a day or two before and left in a folder on my computer. So I combined the images. The geometric design on the jug is flat while the fractal is very sculptural, but both have a spiral theme and similar colors.
