Description
‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’ is an exhibit staged at the Metropolitan Museum and at the Cloisters Museum (May through October 2018). The show is a co-production between the Vatican and the Metropolitan Museum and examines how fashion designers have been influenced by Catholic aesthetics. My "take" on the exhibit is a series of photos that are a bit quirky and include, in some cases, reflections, odd angles and abstraction. I noticed that nearly all the fashions were for women and every mannequin had closed eyes-- praying, meditating, sleeping or dead-- who knows? It really is an interesting show.

Fantastic double exposure capture Sarah ! l/f
Sarah Loft replied:
Thank you, Geraldine! It looks like a double exposure, but it's really just a straight shot that incorporates the reflections on the glass around the mannequins. :)
