Description
While I waited for a connecting flight in a glass enclosed terminal of the Geneva airport, I did what I usually do when I have time on my hands-- I "cased" the place for photo ideas. I decided to take abstract photos of the inside glass rather than the glass with views of the airplanes. There were great reflections, patterns, textures and colors in that very modern but fairly modest terminal.
Per Wikipedia: Geneva Airport (IATA: GVA, ICAO: LSGG), formerly known as Cointrin Airport, is the international airport of Geneva, the second most populous city in Switzerland. It is located 4 km (2.5 mi) northwest of the city centre. It reached 15 million passengers for the first time in December 2014 and serves as a hub for Swiss International Air Lines, easyJet Switzerland and Etihad Regional.
Its northern limit runs along the Swiss - French border and the airport can be accessed from both countries. The freight operations are also accessible from both countries, making Geneva a European Union freight hub although Switzerland is not a member of the EU. The airport is partially in the commune of Meyrin and partially in the commune of Le Grand-Saconnex.

I am really taken with the lines and shapes and especially the tones in this one, Sarah. Very nice. This is one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for December 11.

I love the combination of shapes and colors here, Sarah. It's all made especially effective with the mysterious and ghostly overlap of the reflections. This is a pod choice for me in the Best of Minimalism group.

Love the shapes and lines—the terra cotta colour definitely adds to the green expanse! My pod for the Best of Minimalism. Group.
