Artist's Description
As I was walking to church along Bennett Avenue on Sunday, the wire meshes on the back of air conditioners in windows up and down the street drew my attention. The new and perfect ones (not many of those) are boring, for the most part, but the older ones that have been scratched or pounded either accidentally or intentionally by graffiti artists are interesting, at least to me.

About Sarah Loft
I see art as not only creation, but also (and maybe primarily) as discovery. For the most part I do collage work and photography, but also enjoy pen and marker drawing, some occasional painting as well as more three dimensional work such as making baskets, dolls, and other objects. As you will see if you wander through my galleries, I have a very wide range of interests. Check out my Artist of the Day feature in Today's Visions.com, curated and written by Mark Myhaver. http://galleries.todaysvisions.com/2014/08/13/todays-featured-artist-sarah-loft/ Some of my artwork appears on products sold at Zazzle. Very cool find, Sarah. This one makes me want to take a stick and run it lightly across, just to feel the vibrations and hear the sound. And yes, it's the dented areas that add interest to the regularity of the mesh. This is one of my two pod's in the Best of Minimalism group for April 13.
