Artist's Description

The glass cubes in this image, are composed of dichroic glass which is manufactured by stacking layers of glass and thin layers of oxides or metals. This gives the glass a shifting array of colors depending on the angle of view, or, in the case of photography, depending on the angle of the camera. Also entering into the composition are the distorted reflections of shapes and colors in the environment.

About Sarah Loft

Sarah Loft

I see art as not only creation, but also (and maybe primarily) as discovery. For the most part I do collage work and photography, but also enjoy pen and marker drawing, some occasional painting as well as more three dimensional work such as making baskets, dolls, and other objects. As you will see if you wander through my galleries, I have a very wide range of interests. Check out my Artist of the Day feature in Today's Visions.com, curated and written by Mark Myhaver. http://galleries.todaysvisions.com/2014/08/13/todays-featured-artist-sarah-loft/ Some of my artwork appears on products sold at Zazzle.
