This beautiful cluster of jonquils (Narcissus jonquilla) were photographed one spring in Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan (New York City). Jonquils and daffodils are among the earliest of spring flowers. Native to Spain and Portugal, this bulbous, easy to grow garden plant has spread to many other countries, including the United States.
